Frequently Asked Questions
Is meditation religious?
No, this type of meditation is not religious. It is derived from Buddhism, adapted for Western people in a non-religious way. It does not conflict with any personal religious practice you may have.
Can anyone do this? I’ve tried and my brain is too busy.
Meditation is possible for most people. Our brains are busy. It takes training to settle the mind, and it doesn’t happen instantly. This is why we practice! In cases of severe trauma, meditation can be too difficult and other ways of dealing with stress are recommended.
What do I bring? What do I wear?
We have mats and cushions available onsite or you can bring your own. Wear comfortable clothes. No special equipment needed.
